Eyewear for Pilots and Drivers of Cars with Heads Up Displays

In an interesting article the author claims that proper eyewear for pilots has been a required item since man's first flight. I beg to differ - the first flight took place when googles were the preferred form of eyewear, and they really only kept the eyes from drying out and from bugs entering the eyes. Really, not much use at all; however, you can read the article here:

I would argue that the proper aviator sunglasses are more important, and certainly not mirrored aviator sunglasses.

The facts are that pilots need non-polarized aviator sunglasses like Randolph aviator sunglasses, NOT mirrored aviator sunglasses.
